First what are acrylic nails? Acrylic nails are a mixture of powder and liquid acrylics that when combined form a gel blob which can be shaped onto your nails to fill in or change the shape of your nails.

How do you apply acrylic nails? Step 1: Prep May sure your nail are clean and dry before you start. It’s best to use an acetone nail polish remover to take off any lingering nail polish residue. Lightly buff area of new nail growth with the fine side of the nail file.

Step 2: Size up the nail tips. Each acrylic nail kit comes with 40 nail tips in assorted sizes. Fit the nail tips to each of your nails and set aside.

Step 3: Apply the nail tip. With the fast setting nail glue included in the acrylic nail kit.

Step 4: customize the shape and length the nail tip by trimming off any excess with a nail clipper and shaping with a nail file.

Step 5: Apply acrylic powder and liquid. Take the sculpting brush and dip it in the acrylic liquid first then the powder. If needed dip just the tip of the brush in the liquid acrylic again. Gently press the acrylic gel bead into nail where your natural nail meets the acrylic tip and blend with the entire nail surface until smooth.

Step 6: Let dry. Usually takes about 3-5 minutes.

Step 7: Once dry file the entire nail surface until smooth.

Step 8: Apply clear nail polish for a glossy finish.
